The Gimmbach cascades are in the beautiful Weißenbachtal valley at Lake Attersee. The water comes directly from the Höllgebirge and is very refreshing even in summer. With the right equipment, it can also be mastered by younger adventurers. Children from the age of 10 can try their hand as junior canyonauts on the tour. The only important thing is that they can swim well. The tour leads over several cascades of the stream, which are overcome by sliding and jumping. The jumps are from a height of 1m to 6m, but can also be bypassed. The perfect adventure for the whole family.

Physical requirements:
You should be a good swimmer and in good health. The minimum age is 10 years.
Weather:
The tour can also be done in light rain. In case of heavy rain or thunderstorms, the tour cannot be held for safety reasons.
Duration:
The tour lasts approx. 2.5-3 hours including putting on and taking off the equipment.
You have to climb up for about 15 minutes. The access is relatively easy and leads along a hiking trail and a forest road to the entrance. In the gorge itself we need about 1-1.5 hours.

The Gimbach Cascades are located in the Weißenbach Valley between Lake Attersee and Bad Ischl.

Group size:
A maximum of 15 people can be taken on the tour. A second guide is required for groups of 8 or more. Minimum number of participants is 4, otherwise the tour will not take place.
Equipment / clothing:
Swimwear and towel
Hiking or trekking shoes, preferably ankle-high with non-slip soles.
Change of shoes for afterwards.
If you want to save your shoes, you can also rent special canyoning shoes for 5€.
