Our "Expedition" tour is specially designed for you if you are looking for sporty challenges and exciting water fun. Here you have the option of taking a seat in either a two-person canoe or a funraft for three to four people. Steer your own boat and feel the excitement while an experienced guide watches you from the escort boat or kayak. Enjoy the river trip and experience the Salza in all its glory. In the afternoon we move on to the Enns, where we change to larger rafts. Start right at the imposing entrance to the Gesäuse and look forward to an exciting trip through the impressive Enns. But that's not all - during the tour we also go on a gorge walk through the spectacular Bruckgraben Gorge. Immerse yourself in the fascinating nature and feel the thrill up close. Services and benefits:
After arriving at our Camp Salza and equipping you with the right equipment, we will take you with our buses to the entry point of the Salza. There you will receive a comprehensive briefing from the guide so that you are optimally prepared for the coming hours.
Riding the Salza with fun rafts or canoes
In the morning, the most scenic white-water stretch in Austria awaits us. The Salza in Styria offers great white water, beautiful jumps into the river (optional) and breathtaking nature. However, in order to offer you the necessary challenge and action in addition to these highlights, we will venture down the river in smaller fun rafts (3-4 seaters) or canoes (2-seaters). Of course, under the supervision of a guide in an escort boat or kayak. In case of extremely high water levels, we have to switch to 6-seater rafts steered by the guide for safety reasons. In this case there is action enough in these boats too!
After the Salza, we have our Gesäuse enjoyment snack as refreshment at Basecamp.
Massive white water and the spectacular Bruckgraben on the Enns
After the trip we get right back into the action at the "Gesäuse Entrance". Great and powerful white water awaits us in the middle section and the "final cataract", in between there are also some quiet sections to enjoy the great mountain panorama of the National Park. As a special highlight, we also walk the beautiful Bruckgraben from the shore. On this "taster canyoning" excursion, we climb from below into the deeply cut gorge until we reach a 15-metre-high waterfall. After the obligatory "Xeis shower" in the waterfall, we continue by boat to the exit of the tour, from where the buses take us back to the camp.
A great tour that not only combines the best of all rafting routes in the Gesäuse, but also offers great variety with the different types of boats and the beautiful Bruckgraben gorge!
Included: Rafting equipment consisting of: Neoprene suit Long John (4-6 mm),
neoprene jacket, white water helmet,
paddles (lengths 140 - 150), neoprene footies and
life jacket.
